Mary Manco

Mary Manco (nee Salvatore), 92 of Union passed away at home on January 22, 2016.

Funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Wednesday at 8:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Church in Union at 10:15 AM. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park. Visitation is on Tuesday from 3-8 PM.

Born in Newark, Mary was a longtime Union resident. She was a food service worker for the Newark Board of Education until her retirement in 1985; she was also a member of the Union Seniors - Wednesday Club.

Mary was married to her beloved husband Frank for 47 years until his passing in 1996. She was the daughter of the late Domenica (Minnie) and Joseph Salvatore; loving mother of Lucille Leonardis and her husband James, and Cynthia Manco; grandmother of Lauren Churus and her husband Eric, and Christine Leonardis; sister of Anthony Salvatore, Carmel Salvatore, and the late Carmen Salvatore, Sam Salvatore, Gloria Cushman and Sister Mary Salvatore. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.

Mary very much enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, shopping, and playing bingo and pokeno. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family and her fun loving spirit.
