Agnes Marie Barone

Agnes Marie Melchionna Barone, age 57, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 8th, 2020. She was born on April 20th, 1963 in Union, NJ, the first child of Antonio and Angelina Melchionna. She grew up in the Peterstown section of Elizabeth, NJ with her three siblings Rocco Melchionna, Anna Maria Melchionna Carofano, and Diana Melchionna Fava. Agnes was blessed to have the love of her life, Emanuel Barone, at her side and their two beautiful children Michael Barone and Angelina Barone Kurdyla. Her son-in-law Dane Kurdyla was like a second son. Agnes’ greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren: Justin Barone (8), Vincent Kurdyla (2), and Santino Kurdyla (born June 8th, 2020). Agnes cherished her time with her nephews Nico, Antonio, and Raimondo. Agnes loved her job as an administrative assistant for the Elizabeth Board of Education, where she worked for over twenty five years. Agnes was a member of the Columbiettes Organization and the Valatase Club. She is survived by countless family members and friends, who she adored spending time with. We will always remember Agnes with a smile on her face.
