Agnes Graham, 91 of Caldwell passed away at home on February 26, 2020.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass for Agnes to be celebrated at St. Aloysius Church, 219 Bloomfield Ave. Caldwell on Tuesday March 3, 2020 at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Galante Funeral Home in Caldwell (973-226-1801).
Born in Newark, Agnes lived there until moving to Caldwell in 1978. Agnes started work with the Weyerhaeuser Company before moving into the legal profession where she served as a legal secretary and bookkeeper for Booth, Kenny, Dougherty and McKenna, (later Hack, Piro) in Roseland until her retirement in 1995. Agnes was a communicant and a faithful parishioner at St. Aloysius Church for over 40 years, and was also a member of St. Leo's Church in Irvington many years ago.
Agnes was predeceased by her loving parents the late William and Bernice (nee Hill) Graham, and her beloved grandmother the late Julia Hill. She was also predeceased by her cherished brothers Robert, Anthony and Frank Graham, sisters Mary Graham, Anna Graham and Catherine Gillum, and her nieces Jody Mills and Eileen Wiest. Agnes is survived by her loving nephews Gary Gillum, William Graham, Robert Graham, James Graham and Frank Graham; and dear nieces Patricia and Linda Graham as well as many great nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by Jody's daughters Lori Mills, Susan Akay, Cheryl Kolb, Debbie Spinks, and Michelle Dahms, their families, and by her devoted caregiver Sandra Yeboah. All those who knew her were inspired by her kindness, humility and grace.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Agnes’ memory to St. Jude’s (www.stjude.org), the Smile Train (www.smiletrain.org) or the charity of the donor’s choice.
