Albert S. Hollingsworth
Albert S. Hollingsworth, 65 of Union, N.J. passed away on Nov. 27, 2016 .
Born in Brooklyn he lived in Brooklyn, Queens, NY & Hillside, NJ before moving to Union in 1986. He was a Police Officer with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for 28 years before retiring in 2007. Prior to joining the Port Authority, Albert operated the Cat Walk Cars in the Holland Tunnel before they were discontinued. He was also a member of the Union Elks Lodge #1583 and a Boy Scout leader for Troop #85 at Holy Spirit Church in Union.
Visitation will be on Friday 2 -4 & 7 - 9 PM
A funeral service is scheduled be held on Saturday at 10 AM in the funeral home.
Cremation will be held privately.
Albert was the beloved husband of Janice (nee Aragona). He is the loving son of Anna Hollingsworth and was predeceased by his father the late Samuel Albert Hollingsworth. He was also the brother of Ronald and the devoted father of Jason and his wife Nicole, Jessica Snowdon and her husband Michael, as well as the grandfather (Papa) of Abigail, Matthew and Amelia. He was fondly known as Papa by his loving grandchildren
Albert's yearly favorite vacation destination was Williamsburg, VA. He loved being with his family and living everyday to the fullest. He servied in the Air Force Reserve from 1971 to 1987.
