Alexis Cruz

Alexis Cruz 49 of Union, died on Sunday June 24th, 2012 at Overlook Hospital.


The funeral service is in the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave., Union on Thursday at 6 pm. Cremation is private. Visitation is Thursday from 4-8 pm. Born in New York City he lived in Union for 10 years. He was a Corrections Officer for the State of N.J. for 15 years. He was a head coach for the Union Suffragettes softball league for the Inventors. He was also a head coach for the Union Lady Devils traveling team. Additionally, he was a coach for the Union Teener League, and the Tri County Team of Union.


Alexis was married to his wife Laurania (nee Cid) and was the father of Kimberly and Alex Cruz. He was the brother of Adrian Cruz, Frieda Rodriguez, Julie Aponte, Brunilda Litwin, and Norma Ramos.
