Alfred Lamm

Alfred Lamm 85, of Union died on Saturday February 22, 2014, at Overlook Medical Center in Summit.

The funeral will be from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Thursday at 8:15 am. The funeral mass will be in Holy Spirit Church in Union at 9:30 am. Entombment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park in Union. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-8 pm.

Born in Newark he lived there for many years  before moving to Union in 1961.He was a Pasteurizer for Bordens Dairy in Newark for 15 years, he then became a school bus driver  for the Twp. of Union Board of Education for 25 years, retiring in 1993. He was a veteran serving in WWII first in the Merchant Marine, from 1944-1945, and then in the US Navy from 1945- 1949.

Alfred was married to his wife Carmella (nee Ciampi) for 61 years. He is son of the late Catherine (nee Harrigan) and James Lamm as well as the brother of the late James, Edward, and Jack Lamm. He is also the Uncle of many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and 4 great great nephews.
