Andrew J. Skara

Andrew J. Skara, 70 of Randolph passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2012, at the Merry Hart Assisted Living and Rehab in Succasanna, NJ.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Monday November 19, 2012  from 2:30 - 4:30 PM.  The service will be held at 4 PM.
Andrew was born in Brooklyn, NY, and lived in Livingston, NJ before moving to Randolph 27 years ago. He was a music teacher in Roosevelt, Lincoln and Jefferson Elementary Schools in Lyndhurst for 25 years, before retiring 15 years ago. He was a member and past president of the Lyndhurst Education Association, the NJEA., and the NEA.
He was married to his late wife Jacqueline (nee Swiller) for 17 years.until she died in 1984. He was the  beloved father of Charles F. Skara and his wife Kerry, and Mike D. Skara and his wife Ilene. He was also the  brother of Rosemary Puig and her husband Willie. as well as the loving grandfather of Jason, Rachel, Nicole, Jillian and Matthew Skara..
