Angela Lanza

Angela Lanza (nee Tubito) passed away peacefully at the age of 89 on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 surrounded by her loving children.

She was married to the late Thomas Lanza for 45 years. They resided in Newark and lived on Delancy St. before having a house built and moving to Toms River in 1989.

Angela is survived by her children Anthony, Thomas, Patricia Lanza, Roseann Lanza-Confalone and her daughter in laws Deborah and Carmina Lanza.

Her grandchildren Anthony Lanza Jr., his wife Chelsea, Maria Lanza and Frank Thomas Confalone.

Angela's siblings are Joseph Tubito, Ann Del Guercio

and the late James, Michael, and Anthony Tubito.

Angela was born and raised in Newark by her parents Rose and Pasquale Tubito

and lived on Elm St.

Angela worked at Shimans Jewelers in her younger years

until she married in 1949 to become a devoted, loving wife and mother.

Angela was a warm, spirited, loving woman who was the glue that held her family together. She loved to entertain in her home, laugh, cook, sing and dance with her family and friends. She had a magnetic, warm personality and beautiful smile that drew people to her.

She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her family.

The funeral will be from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave., Union

on Saturday at 8:30AM .

Friends and family are invited for visitation on Thursday from 3 - 5 PM and Friday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.

The mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Newark on Saturday.

Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
