Angela Leopaldi

Angela Leopaldi (nee Dante), 89 of Verona passed away on March 10, 2017.

Funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell on Monday at 9:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Verona at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Visitation is on Sunday from 4-8 PM.

Born in Newark, Angela lived in Verona since 1955. She worked as a secretary at Essex County Hospital for 15 years before retiring in 1992. A strong woman always willing to lend a helping hand, Angela was lovingly devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Leopaldi was also a longtime, devout member of Our Lady of the Lake Church.

Angela was predeceased by her beloved husband Jerry. She was the loving mother of Marla Maier and her husband Craig, Teresa Dente and her late husband Benny, Joan Benenati and her husband Anthony, Anthony Leopaldi and his wife Anne Marie and the late Gerald Leopaldi; dear grandmother of Jennifer Torluccio and her husband Joseph, Michael Dente and his wife Tricia, Laura Dente, Anthony Benenati and Alaina Benenati; and great-grandmother of Gia and Joey. Angela was the sister of Josephine Hertig and the late Marie Pozyc and Rose Dante. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
