Angelo S. "Casey" Christiano, 91, of Nutley, N.J. passed away peacefully on April 23, 2015.
A funeral service will be held at the Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell on Wednesday at 11 AM. Entombment will follow at Restland Memorial Park. Visitation is on Tuesday from 4-8pm.
Born in the Silver Lake section of Belleville, Angelo (best known as Casey) was a longtime resident of Nutley.
Casey retired after 35 years of serving as a conductor on the Amtrak Metroliner and traveled daily from New York to Washington D.C. He loved to tell stories about his days on the railroad to all who would listen. Casey was known for his warm hospitality, his ability to strike up a conversation with anyone, and for making the people around him feel unconditionally loved. He was a proud member of the Masons, and lived a rich and vibrant life full of love, joy, friendship and laughter.
Casey was the loving husband of his high school sweetheart and wife Mary Ann (nee Evangelista) of 68 years, beloved father of Dr. Angela Christiano, and cherished grandfather of David Marcovici.
