Anita Calabrese

Anita Calabrese 81 of Union NJ passed away on November 27, 2023.

Wife of the late Paul Garofalo.

Mother of Kristin Sisbarro and Dana Sisbarro

Sister of the late Salvatore "Sonny" Calabrese.

Anita was born and raised in the Ironbound section of Newark.

She later moved to Union in 1973.

Anita was a teacher at the Newark Ironbound Academy for 20 years before her retirement in 2016.

She loved to travel to countries in Europe, and the many beaches on the Jersey shore.

Visitation in the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave on Friday from 9 - 11 AM.

Followed by a wake service at 11AM.

Interment at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth.
