Ann Galante (nee Alfano) 78, of Toms River died on Tuesday Dec. 13th, 2011.
The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue Union on Saturday at 8 am. The funeral mass is at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Newark (Ironbound) at 9:30 am. Entombment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park, in Union. Visitation is Friday from 4- 8 PM. For directions or to send condolences visit galantefh .com.
Born in Newark she lived in the Ironbound section of Newark for 70 years, before moving to Toms River 8 years ago. She was a Clerical Aide at Oliver St. school in Newark for 25 years retiring 8 years ago.
Ann was married to her husband Christopher P. Galante for 58 years, and was the mother of Christopher M. Galante and his wife Andrea, and Gina Iavarone and her husband James. She was also the sister of John Alfano, and Marion Le Pore, as well as the grandmother of Santino, Lianne, Anthony, and Christopher.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to the charity of your choice in her memory.
