Anna Preziosi

ANNA ROSE PREZIOSI

Anna Rose Preziosi (Capezzera) passed away peacefully in her Livingston, NJ home on April 10, 2020. Born on July 1, 1924, she was the youngest of seven children of Antonio and Femia Capezzera.

Anna is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers (Michael, Nicholas, Frank and Joseph Capezzera) and her sisters (Grace LoGiudice and Rachel Ottone). She is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Anthony R. Preziosi who passed in 2004. She is survived by her son, Andrew, of Arlington, Virginia, many nieces and nephews, and several fond, devoted friends, especially Helen Salerno and Patricia Medore.

Raised in Newark, NJ, Anna married Anthony in 1947, lived briefly in Orange and Montclair, before settling in West Orange from 1953 until 2003. She spent her remaining years at Cedar Street Commons in Livingston.

Starting in 1952, Anna worked diligently as a keypunch operator and data entry specialist for Sharon Industries of Montclair, McGraw-Edison Corporation of West Orange, and Prudential Insurance Corporation of Roseland, before retiring in 1986.

She was active in the Rosary Society of Our Lady of the Valley Church of Orange, the VFW Women’s Auxiliary of Roseland, and her own Friday night couples and Wednesday afternoon ladies clubs.

Devoted to her family, Anna hosted, with the assistance of her husband, Anthony, numerous multi-meal holiday gatherings and summer barbecues. She was a skilled Christmas baker, an amateur interior decorator, and a precise shopper. She loved entertaining and retaining her Italian traditions.

In her final years, Anna was lovingly assisted by Elsa Castillo, Kethy Hernandez, and Susan Alzubi.

Due to current social restrictions, funeral arrangements are private, in the care of the Galante Funeral Home in Caldwell. At a later date, a memorial luncheon will be held in her honor.
