Annette Albanese (nee DiPietro) of Millburn, NJ, died peacefully on May 26, 2020
Annette is survived by her son Chuck and his wife Mary and her three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jack and Tommy of Basking Ridge, NJ and her son Guy and his wife Jeanne and their dog Nicky of Springfield, NJ.
She was the youngest of 6 children and is pre-deceased by her siblings: Mildred, Connie, Sue, Ann and Anthony.
Her parents Marianne and Gaetano (Guy) DiPietro emigrated from Naples, Italy to the United States in the early 1920’s. They eventually settled in Scranton, PA where Annette was born on March 25, 1936.
Annette attended college at Washington Missionary College in Tacoma Park, MD and later moved to NJ for work and got married and raised her two boys. She was proud to call Millburn home for over 50 years and enjoyed Taylor Park, the Public Library and The Papermill Playhouse.
Annette was a very religious woman, enjoyed bible study and traveled the World with many friends. She never hesitated to go on an adventure. She loved keeping in touch with everyone by writing letters and never missed sending out a birthday card. She was an avid photographer and always had a camera in her hand for every occasion. She also loved to draw and paint and study other cultures.
She was so proud of her sons and the lives they created. Her greatest joy was being a Nana to Elizabeth, Jack and Tommy, spending time with them in parks, museums and exploring the world around them.
