Annette Ligus

Annette Ligus of Rutherford  passed away at home on January 23, 2019.

Funeral  from the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave., Union on Monday at 8:30 AM. Funeral Mass at St James Church in Springfield at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth.  Visitation is on Sunday from 2-6  PM at the funeral home. For condolences or directions, please visit galantefh.com.

Born in Greensburg, Pa. Annette lived in Rutherford 69 years.

Annette graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Nursing. Annette was an RN who recently worked for People Care of New Jersey,  Hackensack, NJ. Work experiences include over 7 years working in the Home Care industry as a nursing instructor. She worked at 3 different Home Care agencies and  Long Term Care with Assisted Living Facility over a 9 year period.

Other experiences included hospital based positions. The positions have been an ICU Change RN in a Trauma Center, Renal Dialysis Charge RN and Administrative Supervisor. Also, a certified Patient Advocate and a local hospital as Patient Advocate. Annette was also a former nursing supervisor at Passaic General Hospital.

Annette loved to travel and took pride in visiting all 50 states. Her last trip was to Mount Rushmore with her longtime friend Mary. She took great joy being with friends and family. Enjoyed her nephews Jake and Carson very much.
