Anthony Cifelli

Anthony Richard "Bo" Cifelli, 87 of Newark passed away on July 1, 2020.
Funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Wednesday at 8:30 AM. A Funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Newark at 10:30 AM. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation is on Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
Born in Newark, Anthony was a lifelong resident, spending many years in the Ironbound section. A proud American, Anthony served his country in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated Carroll's Liquors & Deli in Lyndhurst for over 30 years until his retirement. An avid hunter, Anthony enjoyed listening to Big Band music, especially Frank Sinatra. A proud family man, Anthony cherished spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren above all else.
Anthony was the beloved husband of Betty (nee Riggio) Cifelli; loving father of Thomas A. Cifelli and his fiance Melissa Limato and Dr. John R. Cifelli and his wife SallyAnn; proud grandfather of Samantha Blaise Cifelli, Joseph Anthony Cifelli and John Juliano Cifelli. He was also the dear brother of Rosalie Devino and the late Catherine Pannullo. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
