Retired State Superior Court Judge

Judge Anthony J. Iuliani, born Nov. 24, 1925 in Newark, NJ, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2016. The son of Dr. Joseph A. Iuliani and Anna (Caruso) Iuliani. He is survived by his loving wife Jeanne (Sangari) Iuliani, beloved children, Joseph A. Iuliani and Marcella (Iuliani) Young, her husband C. Christian Young of Orange, CT and adored grandchildren, Anthony Christian and Nicholas John.

A long time resident of North Caldwell, NJ, Anthony attended Seton Hall Prepatory School; Seton Hall University and was a member of the first graduating class of Seton Hall Law School.

Appointed to the bench in 1980, he served in the Superior Court criminal division for 15 years until his retirement. Judge Iuliani returned to the bench serving on the civil side for 10 more years until his official retirement in 2005.

Anthony was passionate about the law, his family, and extended family near and far. Travelling and time with friends and family always brought a smile to his well-tanned face - a smile and dimples that will be missed by many.

All that knew him, knew he faced every struggle with strength and grace. We will miss him dearly - always.

At his request, there will be no visitation.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 10AM at Notre Dame Church, 359 Central Ave. North Caldwell. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in East Orange.
