Anthony R. Martelli

Anthony R. Martelli, 93 of Union passed away on December 13, 2024.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Anthony at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Tuesday December 17 from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Church in Union on Wednesday at 10:15 AM. Entombment will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Born in Newark, Anthony has been a Union resident for 61 years. He was a parts department manager for Chrysler in Old Tappan, NY for many years prior to his retirement in 1996. After he retired, Anthony enjoyed spending time in Florida with his dear wife.

Anthony was the beloved husband of the late Genevieve (nee Formato) Martelli; loving father of Anthony Martelli, Jr., Alexis Adubato and Valerie Melkowits and her husband Joseph. He was the treasured grandfather of Ashley Zinno and her husband Thomas, Joseph Melkowits, Jr., Gina Melkowits and Alexander Adubato; and adoring great-grandfather of Rylee Zinno. He was predeceased by his loving brothers, sister, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.
