Anthony L. Terrezza Sr.

Anthony L. Terrezza Sr. 100, of Toms River died on Wednesday October 10, 2012 .


The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Monday at 8 am. The funeral mass will be in Holy Spirit Church in Union at 9:30 am. Interment will follow in Bloomfield Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.Born in Newark he lived in Toms River for 35 years. he was a foreman at Walter Kidde & Co. in Belleville for 30 years retiring 40 years ago. He was also a professional musician playing with his band the 3 Little Devils for 80 years, and was a veteran of the US Coast Guard during WWII.


Anthony was married to his late wife Violet (nee Valvano) for 53 years until she died in 1990. He was the father of Anthony L. Terrezza Jr. and his wife Nancy, and Mary Ellen Schweikardt and her husband Walter. He was also the brother of Yolanda Casale, Lois Chapman, Violet Litvany, Betty Lou Dinsmore, Salvatore, Terrezza his late brothers and sisters Carmine, Terrezza, Henrietta Hopkins, Stella Dell’Omo, Gloria Pagliucca, Grace Jacoby, and Jolanda Terrezza. He was the grandfather of Denise Terrezza (Orzechowski), Anthony III & his wife Maria, & Salvatore & his wife Andrea Terrezza, Jeffery and his wife Diann, Michael, and Walter and his wife Michele Schweikardt, as well as the great grandfather of Alana, Dana, & Edward III Orzechowski, Ashley, Amanda & Chelsie Schweikardt, Anthony IV, Julana ,  Brianna, & Cristina Terrezza, . He was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
