Anthony (Pat) Patricco

Anthony (Pat) Patricco, 87 of Pine Beach, formerly of Union, passed away at home on February 11, 2015.

Funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Tuesday at 9 AM. Funeral mass will be held at St. Michaels Church in Union at 10:15 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation is on Monday from 4-8 PM.

Born in Newark on March 30, 1927, Pat lived in Union for 60 years before moving to Pine Beach 7 years ago. A veteran of the US Army, he served in World War II. Pat was a sales rep. in auto parts for many years; working at Tire Trading Co. in Newark, Thompson and Co. in Union, and Vespia Tire Co. in South River. He was a 4th degree knight in the Knights of Columbus Council #4504 in Union and Council #8603 in Bayville. Pat was also very active in Union, serving on the Board of Education from 1975 to 1981, in the Exchange Club of Union and in the township little league for over 50 years. He was also an usher and volunteer at St. Barnabas Church in Bayville.

Pat was the beloved husband of the late Helen A. (nee D'Arienzo) for 59 years before she passed away in 2009. Loving father of the late Stephen A. Patricco; and brother of the late Frank. He is survived by his daughter-in-law Mary Ellen Patricco and his grandchildren Michael A. and Stephen E. Patricco.
