Antoinette Inguaggiato (nee’ Miceli) died peacefully on April 25,2020 at her home in Millburn, New Jersey surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 22, 1923 in Newark to Lena and Frank Miceli, she graduated from East Side High School and Montclair State University.
Antoinette’s passion was literature. She often said “you are never lonely as long as you have a good book to read”. She was an English teacher and then a librarian at the Gaudineer School in Springfield, New Jersey for over 25 years. Antoinette was an avid bridge player, loved the Opera and was keenly attuned to world events.
A resident of Millburn for over 60 years, Antoinette was also an active parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church in Short Hills.
Antoinette was kind, compassionate and selfless. She would take greater pleasure in celebrating the accomplishments of others than of her own achievements. Above all, her family was her greatest treasure.
She was the beloved wife of the late Julius Inguaggiato. She was the cherished mother of Anthony (Judy) Inguaggiato , Gina ( Chris) Maguire and Andrea ( Richard) Lousararian and devoted sister to Elsie Spelman. Antoinette is also survived by her adoring grandchildren, Alexandra and Kathryn Inguaggiato, Conor, Katie and Meghan Maguire , Brett and Eric Lousararian, great granddaughter Kaley Lousararian and a loving extended family. She is predeceased by her infant son Frank Inguaggiato, her brother Anthony Miceli and her sister Catherine Mack.
A Memorial service will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, gifts of remembrance may be made to The Millburn Free Public Library.
