Argentina Sanchez (nee Quiroga) 94, of Kearny passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday January 5 ^th , 2013.

The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Thursday at 8 am. The funeral mass is at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Newark at 9:30 am. Burial will take place in Spain. Visitation is Wednesday from 4-8 pm.

Born in Argentina she lived in Spain and came to Newark in 1963. She worked as a seamstress for many years and retired in 1983.

Argentina was married to her late husband Manuel Sanchez, and is the mother of Rosa Dominguez and her late husband Daniel, Margarita Iglesias and her husband Jose, Marisa Hodgdon and her husband Richard, Celeste Quintana and her husband Joe, Maria Flor Cunha and her husband James, Emilse Sanchez , Ramon and his wife Maria Sanchez, and Benjamin and his wife Dolores Sanchez. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
