Arthur Genova

 Arthur R. Genova, 69 of Union passed away on August 5, 2022.

 Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Arthur at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Monday August 8 from 4-9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Theresa Church in Kenilworth on Tuesday at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park.

 Born in Newark, Arthur has lived in Union since 1960. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, on the USS Forrest Sherman Destroyer from 1971 - 1975 out of Norfolk, VA. Arthur was a firefighter with the Union Fire Department from 1979 until his retirement in 2011. He was promoted through the ranks, ultimately earning the position of Captain. Arthur was also a member of the Union Italian-American Club, and was an avid fan of the New York Jets and the New York Mets. Above all, Arthur was a loving son, husband, father, brother and grandfather.

 The devoted son of Marie Genova, and the late Rocco Genova, Arthur was the beloved husband of Jeanne (nee Evans) Genova; loving father of Lisa Marie Petrosky and her husband Thomas; cherished grandfather of Kristin, Ashlynne and Thomas John. He is also survived by his siblings Ralph Genova and his wife Ida, Rocco Genova and his wife Adriane, Annette Hochdorfer and her husband Joseph, Nina DiGregorio and her husband Rocco and Marie Sullivan.
