Barbara Jean Ferrigno

Barbara J. Ferrigno, 76, lived a beautiful life. She was a generous, kind, and compassionate woman. She was a life-long resident of Union, NJ. Barbara died peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, March 23, 2017. Her favorite times were spent with family and friends. Barbara met her beloved husband of 56 years, Charles P. Ferrigno at a school dance. She was the loving mother of James P. Ferrigno, Linda Giacobbe and Valerie Milne, adoring grandmother (fondly known as Gram) to Nicolette & William Milne and Gabrielle & Jesse Ferrigno.  Barbara, was predeceased by her parents William and Margaret Wismar. She is survived by her much-loved sister Patricia Ehresmann and brother William Wismar, his wife Josephine and many nieces and nephews.  Barbara touched all who knew her and was an important force behind all family gatherings. She enjoyed travelling and being outdoors with her husband and family. Instead of donations or flowers, the family would like people to pay forward an act of kindness in her name, which would reflect how she lived her life every day . A memorial service for Barbara will be held at a later date. Barbara will be sorely missed!
