Bernadette T. Damato  (Nee Danilewcz) 79, of Rockaway  passed away on December 30, 2016 at Morristown Medical Center.

The funeral will be from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union, N.J. on Tuesday at 8:30am. The funeral mass will be in St. James Church In Springfield at 10 am. Born in Jersey City, Bernadette lived in Springfield for many years before moving to Rockaway. She was a teacher for St James School Springfield before retiring. Bernadette received a BS Degree from Fordham University.

Wife of the late James V.  Mother of Helene Damato, Charlene Pintado, Michael Damato, Anitra Diorio, Laura Fonfara, & The late James. Sister of the late Joseph, John, Frank, Walter, Helen, & Sr. Gabriel. also 8 grandchildren.
