Bernadette Gerhart 60, passsed away on January 9, 2016 of Newark.

Mother of Marlana and her husband Donald Rokose.

Daughter of Sylvia and the late James Cornacchia.

Grandmother of Christian and Noah.

Bernadette was born and raised in Newark. She lived in Spotswood for many years before returing to the Ironbound section.

She was a school aide at the Monroe Elementary School in Spotswood. She also was a crossing guard for the Monroe Township school district.

Funeral from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union, on Tuesday at 10:30AM.

Funeral mass at the St. James Church in Newark at 11AM

Visitation on Tuesday morning from 8:30 to 10:30 AM

Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
