Bernadette Halbing

Bernadette Halbing (nee Mulligan), 94 of Union passed away on June 12, 2018.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. James Church, 45 S. Springfield Ave. Springfield on Friday at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation will be held at St. James Church today, Thursday, from 4-8 PM. Arrangements are entrusted to the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union.
Born in Harrison, Bernadette was a longtime Union resident. She worked as an office clerk at Victory Engineering in Springfield and AB Murray in Union before retiring. Bernadette loved playing bingo, as well as watching the New York Mets.

Bernadette was the wife of the late George Noel Halbing; loving mother of Rev. William Halbing, Paul Halbing, and George Halbing and his wife Susan; dear grandmother of Brian, Diana and Matthew; and great-grandmother of Brandon and Tyler.
