Bertha Eloisa Landin  (nee Merino) 77,  of  Newark,  died on Sunday March 8, 2015, at St. Michael Medical Center in Newark.

The funeral service will be in the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue in Union, on Wednesday at 8:15 PM.  Visitation will be from 5-9 pm. Cremation will be private.

Born in Cuba she lived in Newark for 44 years.

Bertha was married to her late husband Rodolfo Landin for 45 years until he died in 2000. She is the mother of Lourdes Pumar and her husband Luis, Rodolfo, and Jane Landin, and Denise Moore and her husband Frederick D. Jr. She is also the grandmother of Jonathan Pumar, Bryan, and Brandon Landin, Rodrigo Pereira, and Rodolpho  Da' Cruz
