Bob Glaser

F. Robert "Bob" Glaser, 92 of Union passed away peacefully on March 5, 2023.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Bob at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Wednesday March 15 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at Connecticut Farms Presbyterian Church in Union on Saturday March 18 at 1 PM.

Born in Jersey City, Bob was a lifelong Union resident. He proudly served his country in the US Army, stationed in Germany as a military police officer from 1950 to 1952. Bob worked as a machine designer for Becton Dickinson in Franklin Lakes, retiring 22 years ago.

Bob was a talented handyman, and a great "shade tree mechanic". He was a devoted pillar of Connecticut Farms Presbyterian Church for his entire life. Bob treasured time spent on a boat in Lake George. Above all, he was proud family man, and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Bob was the beloved husband of 65 years, and was predeceased by his high school sweetheart Delores "Laurie" (Widmer) Glaser. He was the loving father of Matthew Glaser and his wife Mary, Paul Glaser and his wife Patricia, Peter Glaser and his wife Lisa, Julie Krezel and the late Mark Glaser. He was the dear father-in-law of Debbie Glaser; proud grandfather of Alyson Oursler and her husband James, Jennifer Glaser, Jessica Volpe and her husband Steven, Jonathan Glaser, Steven Glaser and his wife Erika, David Glaser and his wife Joanna, Daniel Glaser, Christian Glaser, Nicole Glaser, Sean Glaser, Raymond Krezel, Audrey Krezel and Will Krezel. He was the adoring great-grandfather of Justin, Abbey, Michael, Shannon, Olivia, Dylan, Nicholas and Steven. Bob was also the brother-in-law of Marilyn Patz and her husband F. Larry Patz, was predeceased by his brother Ted Glaser, and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
