Bonaface N. Emeana
The Emeana and Uwaeke families as well as the Igbo community lost a pillar on Saturday, August 17, 2019
when Mr. Boniface N. Emeana (Alas London), passed peacefully surrounded by immediate family members.
Late Mr. Boniface N. Emeana (Alas London) was born in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria and passed at the age of 58 years. The youngest of eight siblings, Mr. Boniface N. Emeana migrated to New Jersey, USA as a young adult.
He lived many of his years in Hillside, NJ with his family and later moved to Springfield, New Jersey. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from New Jersey City University and his Master’s degree from The College of St. Elizabeth.
He worked as a Supervisor for the Department of Corrections for the State of New Jersey.
Late Boniface N. Emeana truly lived his life to the fullest, loved God and cherished his family and friends.
He spent leisure time reading his Bible, listening to music as well as playing and watching soccer and wrestling.
He had an uncanny ability to reach people in deep and positive ways.
He was a loving husband to his wife, a caring father to his children and a reliable friend to everyone he came across.
He was engaged in various charity works such as the Widows of Okuku, Owerri, Imo State
and food drives for the homeless in Newark, New Jersey.
He will be remembered for his vivacious personality, his jokes, laughter, impeccable sense of fashion, selfless service and kindness to others.
Late Boniface N. Emeana is survived by his beloved wife Anthonia Emeana,
four (4) children namely; Floyd Emeana, Princess Chisom Emeana, Chioma Emeana and Oluchi Emeana
as well as two (2) brothers and six (6) sisters.
He was preceded in death by both his parents Mr. Francis Emeana and Mrs. Cicilia Mbelugbo Emeana,
and son, Lloyd E. Emeana.
His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with as well as those reached, but never met.
Although his life was cut short, his memory will forever be imbedded in our hearts.
Adieu our lovely and caring husband, father and friend.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend viewing on Friday, September 20, 2019 from 4:30-7:30PM
at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave, Union, N.J.
and a wake keeping from 8 PM - 2AM at Sacred Heart Church, 537 Grove Street, Irvington, N.J.
A second viewing will be held from 9:15-10:15 AM and funeral mass at 10:15 AM
will be held at St. Michael’s Parish Church, 1212 Kelly Street, Union, N.J.
Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park, 1900 Galloping Hill Road, Kenilworth, N.J.
