IN LOVING MEMORY OF BRENT D. GERMAIN
BRENT DOUGLAS GERMAIN, BORN ON APRIL 7TH, 1957, IN NEWARK, NJ, PEACEFULLY
TRANSITIONED ON JANUARY 28, 2024. HE WAS A CHERISHED HUSBAND, DEVOTED FATHER,
BROTHER, UNCLE, NEPHEW, COUSIN, AND FRIEND- LEAVING BEHIND A LEGACY OF LOVE,
LAUGHTER, AND A PROFOUND CONNECTION WITH GOD.
BRENT GREW UP IN EAST ORANGE, NJ WHERE HE WAS A MEMBER OF MESSIAH BAPTIST
CHURCH. HE GRADUATED FROM EAST ORANGE HIGH SCHOOL. HE PURSUED HIS DEGREE AT
RUTGERS UNIVERSITY. BRENT EMBARKED ON A SUCCESSFUL ENGINEERING CAREER THAT
SPANNED DECADES. HIS COMMITMENT TO HIS WORK MIRRORED THE DEDICATION HE SHOWED
TO HIS FAMILY AND COMMUNITY.
BRENT SHARED 32 WONDERFUL YEARS OF MARRIAGE WITH HIS BELOVED WIFE, LORAINE.
TOGETHER, THEY BUILT A HOME FILLED WITH WARMTH, LAUGHTER AND LOVE. HIS SON, REV.
ANDRE COFFEE, ALONG WITH HIS GRANDDAUGHTERS, DESTINY, TRINITY AND AMBER, BROUGHT
IMMENSE JOY TO HIS LIFE. AS AN IDENTICAL TWIN, BRENT HAD A SPECIAL BOND WITH HIS
BROTHER BRIAN, ALWAYS REMINDING HIM THAT HE WAS THE ELDEST TWIN IN HIS WORDS, “I
AM THE OLDEST & OLD SCHOOL”. THEY MADE IT A PRIORITY TO COMMUNICATE REGULARLY-
REFLECTING ON THEIR LOVE OF SPORTS AND FAMILY.
BRENT'S FAITH WAS A GUIDING LIGHT. HE ACTIVELY CONTRIBUTED TO THE ANTIOCH BAPTIST
CHURCH IN SPRINGFIELD, NJ, AS A TRUSTEE AND DEDICATED CHOIR MEMBER.
KNOWN FOR HIS INFECTIOUS SMILE AND POSITIVE SPIRIT, BRENT APPROACHED LIFE WITH JOY
AND HUMOR. WHETHER ENJOYING FAMILY GATHERINGS, SPORTS, DANCING, OR DRESSING WITH
STYLE, HE EMBRACED EACH MOMENT WITH ENTHUSIASM.
BRENT IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE, LORAINE, SON REV. ANDRE COFFEE (SHAUNTEEKA) OF NEW
JERSEY, GRANDDAUGHTERS DESTINY, TRINITY AND AMBER OF NEW JERSEY, TWIN BROTHER
BRIAN GERMAIN (GRACE) OF CALIFORNIA, SISTER GAIL GERMAIN OF NEW JERSEY, UNCLE
HAROLD (MOLLY) OF NEW JERSEY, AND AUNT JOYCE OF MICHIGAN. HE WAS PRECEDED IN
DEATH BY HIS BROTHER STEVEN AND PARENTS, DONNA AND SAMUEL GERMAIN.
IN ADDITION TO HIS IMMEDIATE FAMILY, BRENT LEAVES BEHIND A HOST OF LOVED ONES. AS WE
CELEBRATE BRENT'S LIFE, LET US REMEMBER THE GOOD MAN WHO TOUCHED HEARTS WITH HIS
LAUGHTER, SMILE, LOVE, AND UNWAVERING FAITH IN GOD. MAY HIS SPIRIT LIVE ON IN THE
CHERISHED MEMORIES HE LEAVES BEHIND, AND MAY HE REST IN ETERNAL PEACE.
