  Ernest "Bruno" Hauer, 87, of Berkeley Heights, NJ passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Morristown Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.  

  Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Bruno on Saturday from 9 to 11 am at Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Avenue, Union, followed by a gathering with light refreshments in our hospitality room from 11 am to 1 pm. Interment is at St. Mary's Cemetery in Watching.  

  Born in Paterson, Bruno lived in Summit before moving to Berkeley Heights 65 years ago. He proudly served in the US Navy Seabees. Bruno founded Woodland Builders in 1969, retiring in 1992.  

  Beloved husband of the late Patricia (Russo) Hauer. Bruno is survived by his loving son Jimmy Hauer and his wife Judy, and his daughter Kathy Santo. Cherished grandfather of Ryan, Elisa, Audrey Rose, Dante and Vito.
