Carlos Luaces, 70 died at his home on Saturday, June 26, 2021.

Born in the Canary Island, Spain, Mr. Luaces came to the United States as a young man and lived in the Ironbound section of Newark for many years before moving to Kenilworth. Mr. Luaces worked for A&G Shipping as a L asher for L ocal 1804-1 in Port Newark for many years.

Devoted husband of 36 years to Marie Luaces. Father of Carlos, Anthony and Christina. Grandfather of Joey, Alex and Jayden.

Carlos will be missed tremendously by family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Friday at 10:30 AM. followed by interment at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield. Visitation is on Thursday from 4-8 PM.
