Carmela Gonzalez

Carmela F. Gonzalez, 57 of Newark passed away at home on October 1, 2015.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. James Church in Newark on Tuesday at 11 AM. Cremation is private. Visitation will be held at the Galante Funeral Home, 17 Pacific St. Newark on Tuesday from 9 to 10:45 AM.

A lifelong Newark resident, Carmela's greatest love was her family. She kept in touch with her many relatives and friends through her daily phone conversations.

Carmela was the daughter of the late Manuel and Rose Siso; loving mother of Elson and Juan Gonzalez; dear sister of Ramona Hallick and her husband Ken; and grandmother of Elson Brian Gonzalez. She is also survived by her companion Antonio Montor, special friend Wilfredo Gonzalez, and nieces Estelle and her husband James, and Laurie.
