Carmela Spagnola (nee Paolella) 91 of Union died on Thursday January 5th, 2012 at Overlook Hospital, in Summit.
The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union, on Monday at 8 am. The funeral mass is at Holy Spirit Church in Union at 9:30 am. Interment is in Hollywood Memorial Park. Visitation is Sunday from 2-6 pm.
Born in Newark she lived in Irvington, before moving to Union 26 years ago.
Carmela was married to her late Husband Patsy Spagnola, and was the mother of Lucy Donofrio and her husband Sal, the late Augustine Spagnola, and Carmella Sobka. She was also the grandmother of Patty Marshall, Rochelle Sgrignoli, Augie Spagnola, Marlo Matthews, & Darlene Spagnola, as well as the great grandmother Jessica, Shannon, Nicholas, Laney, Courtney, Caylee, & Branson.
