Carmella Tortorelli (nee Di Pietro) 83 of Union died on Monday Sept. 29, 2014 at home.

The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Thursday at 8 am. The funeral mass will be in the Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park at 9:30 am Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.

Born in New York City she lived in Hoboken 63 years before moving to Union 21 years ago.

Carmella was married to her late husband Aniello for 37 years until he died in 1995. She is the Mother of  Anthony Tortorelli, Concetta (Tina) Lisa, Margaret Mary Mosley, Nancy Tortorelli, and Susan Palmgren. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
