Carmen Abalo, 89, formerly of Jersey City passed away on December 31, 2021.

Wife of the late Jose "Pepe" Abalo.  Mother to her beloved children, Jose F. Abalo, David Abalo, Rocio Abalo, Maria Abalo, and Carmen Tremitiedi.  Beloved and treasured grandmother of 9.

Carmen was born in La Coruna, Spain and arrived in America in 1967, settling in Jersey City.  She was the matriarch of her immediate and extended family and loved by all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave in Union on Thursday from 4 - 8 PM, and also on Friday from 9AM - 10 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery, 823 West Side Ave. in Jersey City.
