Carole R. Sterlacci (nee Banwarth) 83, of Union, died on Monday March 13, 2017,

at Canterbury of Cedar Grove Care Center.

The funeral will be from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union, on Friday at 9 am.

The funeral mass will be in St. Joseph Church in Maplewood

at 10:30 am

Interment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park in Union.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 - 8 pm.

Born in Jersey City, she lived in Union for many years.

Carole was married to her beloved  late husband

John J. Sterlacci for 56 years until he passed away in 2009.

She is the loving mother of Joseph  J. Sterlacci and his wife Valerie, John T. Sterlacci  and his wife Felicia,

and Deborah A. Kranz and her husband Charles.

She is also the devoted sister of the late Patricia Melhado,

as well as the cherished grandmother of

Jason and his wife Rebekah,

Jenna, Jamie and her fiancé  Matthew Neil,

Audra, and her husband Charles Bauer,

Courtney, Sabrina and her husband Thomas Martin, & Christina,

and the great grandmother of Jonas Sterlacci.
