Carolyn Romano

Carolyn F. Romano (nee Lazzaro), 76 of Union passed away on January 17, 2021.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Carolyn at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Friday January 22 from 3-7 PM; and again on Saturday morning from 8:30 - 9:30 AM. A Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Church, 1212 Kelly St. Union on Saturday at 10:15 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Born in Jersey City on February 16, 1944, Carolyn worked for the Jersey City Board of Education for 25 years. Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She relished every moment and memory made with them; she was so proud of all their accomplishments.

Over the years she has made many great friends, and she loved and treasured the memories she made with them. Quick with a smile and laugh, Carolyn had more energy than most; but most of all an undying love for her husband and family.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Len; her beloved children Frank and his wife Deborah, Caroline and her husband Steven; grandchildren Frank, Jr. and his wife Tarah, Anthony, Massimo, Sophia and the late Michael. She is also survived by one great-grandchild, Thomas.

Carolyn was predeceased by her parents Bruno and Caroline Lazzaro (nee D'Amore). In addition, Carolyn is survived by her loving sisters and brother Florence (Tom), Maryann (Jack), Joseph (Vicki), and Antoinette (Pat). Carolyn will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
