Catherine Cox

On August 4th, 10:45pm Catherine, known best to all as "Ruby" a nickname gathered in her youth for her bold choice of hair coloring, heart ceased to beat and her eighty-two years on this magnificent earth reached its final solitude.

She was born, Catherine Francois: daughter of Fanny, sibling to Edna and Linus, mother of Donna, Debra, and Dexter, grand-mother of Meagan, Justin, Julian, Gabrielle, great grand-mother of Jordyn; aunt of Jewel and Aldwin, great aunt of Krystal, Kirby, Kyle and Jannelle, great grand aunt of Kyss, Kody and Kaiden. Mother-in-law to Mechelle and Adopted Mother to Crystal. She was also a great, and life long friend of Elsie DeCoutea and her wonderful enduring family. The love of her life was Allan Roberts, father to all her children. Ruby has passed, but the Earth continues on its course, unhindered and determined as ever, into an uncertain future as we all. She didn't alter its course or even tried, but she did; dream, love, lost, saw wonders, gave life, inspired and in that brief moment, shined always as bright as she could. Mourn her passing, in your own manner, find solis where you can. But, I know she would have wanted you to celebrate on this occasion and wish her, "Vaya con dios" as her new journey begins.

Funeral services are private, in the care of the Galante Funeral Home in Union.
