Cecilia “Chila” Marquez born on June 9, 1952 transitioned from this world into heavenly glory on December 18, 2021. To her family she was the quintessential caregiver. Her love and generosity were limitless. A selfless woman who often put her needs aside to help those closest to her.
Her infectious laugh, great cooking and kindness will be missed. She is survived by her twin sister Margarita, her husband Angelo, her son Eligio “Pupito”, grandchild Eli ”Little Man” and his mother Clara. Also survived by her siblings as follows: Eduvina, Ramon Jr, Carlos, Mario, Nivia, Jesus, Luselenia, Maria, Senaida, Sonia, Lysette, Ivan, Mercedes. Not mentioned by name are the numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who Cecilia loved as well. She is predeceased by her parents Ramon and Herminia and brother Benjamin. Her family will celebrate her spirit and remember her as an integral part of their large family. Visitation at the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. in Union, on Monday Dec. 27 from 11AM - 2PM with a Wake service at 1:30PM.

Cremation private.

Cecilia had a passion for working with children; to honor that the family asks in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Jude’s.(See Below)
