Celsa Rodriguez Fernandez

Celsa Rodriguez Fernandez, 90, of Basking Ridge, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. The funeral will be held from the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave., Union, N.J. on Saturday at 8 am. Funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Newark at 9:30 am. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 to 8 pm.

Born in Orense Spain, Celsa arrived in the US in 1966, and lived in the Ironbound section of Newark. She worked in food management at St. James Hospital in Newark for 20 years before retiring and was a longtime parishioner at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Newark.

Beloved wife of the late Ernesto; mother of  Maria Vazquez and her husband Gilbert, and Maria Carmen Fernandez; sister of Carmen Rodriguez and the late Manuel; grandmother of David and Gilbert Jr.; great grandmother of Alex and Lucas.
