Charles "Chisels" Cataldo Strillacci, 79, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2024. He was born in East Orange and resided in Clark for the last 40 years.
He was an entrepreneur in the restaurant business for many years where he found pleasure in interacting with customers and cultivating lifelong friendships. In his leisure time, Charlie loved to travel, craft with art and woodworking, and spend quality time with family and friends. He especially loved spending time and creating lasting memories with his grandchildren.
Charlie was a man of great warmth and kindness. Known for his fun, light-hearted personality and willingness to embrace new experiences, he left a lasting impact on all who knew him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph J. Strillacci and Carmela (nee Puleo) as well as his son, Joseph Angelo Strillacci. He is survived by his children; daughter Carmen Melendez, son-in-law Ruben Melendez, and daughter Charley Strillacci; his two adored grandsons, Rafael Charles and Lorenzo Martino; his brothers Angelo Strillacci and Joseph P. Strillacci; and many cherished extended family members.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all those who offered their unwavering support and friendship to Charlie throughout the years.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visitation and funeral service held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Galante Funeral Home in Union, followed by interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
