Christine M. Comerci

​ Christine M. Comerci (nee Cupo ) 86 , of Short Hills passed away on March 23, 2018  at Morristown Memorial Hospital .

​ The funeral will be from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Aven ue, Union, on Wednesday at 10 am. The funeral m ass will be at St. Rose of Lima Church Short Hills at 11:15 am. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation is on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM .

​ Born in Newark , Christine lived in Short Hills for 48 years.

Christine was a health education teacher at Jonathan Dayton High School Springfield for many years, and an assistant coach of the track team. Also she worked for the Belleville School system and was a RN at Newark City Hospital. Christine received a BS Degree and a MS Degree from Jersey City State College and a RN from Jersey City Medical Center. After retirement, she volunteered at St. Barnabas Medical Center delivering flowers to the patients.

​ Wife of the late James A. Comerci . M other of James Comerci and Christine Comerci . Sister of Nunzi Cupo , Joseph Cupo , Catherine Mosca , Theresa Marini and the late Peter Cupo , Mildred Strada and Marie Policastro . Grandmother of Heather Reyes and Colin Comerci .

Christine was lovingly cared for over many years by her caregiver, Doreen Jackson. Christine's greatest joy in life was being in the company of her extended family and good friends. She was a devoted wife and mother and was especially proud to be called Grandma.
