Clara Buonopane

Clara Buonopane, a longtime Caldwell resident, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2015.

Funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell on Friday at 8:30 AM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Aloysius Church, Caldwell at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park. Visitation is on Thursday from 5-7 PM.

Born in Mirabella Eclano in the Province of Avellino, Italy, Clara moved with her family to Newark in 1937; and then Caldwell for the past 20 years. She was a teacher's aide in the Newark Public School system for many years.

Clara is survived by her brother Ralph Buonopane, and by many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Tina Buonopane and Johanna LoPilato; and by her brothers Emilio, Prisco, Sr., Americo and Marciano Buonopane.

Though she had no children of her own, Clara loved her family and was always motherly in taking care of her siblings.
