David V. Napoli , 90 a lifelong resident of the Ironbound section of Newark, died on Sunday August 21, 2016.

The funeral service  will be in the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union, NJ on Wednesday at 11am. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9 -11 am. For directions or to send condolences visit galantefh.com.

Born in Newark he lived in the Ironbound section of Newark all of his life. He was a fireman for the City of Newark Fire Dept. for 37 years, retiring in 1991. He was a veteran of WWII serving from 1944-1946 in the Army Air Corps. and was a member of the LaMonica, Calabrese, and Daidone Chapter of the AMVETS in Newark for many years.

He was the beloved husband of  Lucy A. Napoli (nee Calabrese) for 70 years. He is the loving father of Russel Napoli and his wife Patricia, William Napoli and his wife Pauline,  Barbara Rum and her husband Anthony, and the late David Napoli and his surviving wife Maureen. He was also the devoted brother of the late Helen Pelose, and the late  Anthony Napoli, as well as the cherished grandfather of  9 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
