Delmiro Salgado

Delmiro Salgado ,81,, Passed away on May 20, 2011 at University Medical Center in Newark.


Delmiro was born in Pereira DePaizas Orense Spain and was a resident of the Ironbound section of Newark since arriving here from Spain in 1973.


He worked for Stanley Tools in Newark as a Machinist for 11 years before retiring in 1995.


He was well respected by the Ironbound community and its residents.


Delmiro is the beloved husband of Felisa (nee Mendez)


He was a loving husband and an exceptional father, to his children Manuel, Delmiro, Luis, Benito and Elvira. Also a loving Grandfather and Great Grandfather to his 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.


Funeral from the Galante Funeral Home 17 Pacific St. Newark on Thursday at 8:30AM


Visitation Wednesday from 2 - 4 & 7- 9 PM.


Funeral Mass is on Thursday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Newark at 9:30 AM.


Burial will take place in Spain.
