Demetrios N. Kouroupas 72, of Union died on Friday January 4 ^th , 2013 at home.

The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue, Union on Tuesday at 8:30 am. The funeral Liturgy will be at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church 721 Rahway Avenue, Union, N.J. at 10 am. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery 1100 East Broad Street Westfield, N.J. 07090. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.

Born in Greece he lived in Union for 40 years. He was a supervisor at Alfieri Construction Co. in Edison for over 30 years.

Demetrios was married to his wife Jacquelyn (nee Paulin) and was the father of Nick and Bill Kouroupas and Kathy Tahiri. He was also the brother of Marika Bvezidis and the late Constantine Kouroupas, as well as the grandfather of Michael, Olivia, Julia, and Deena.
