Dena Simonelli

Dena Simonelli, 59 passed away in Florence, SC on April 28, 2023.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Dena at the Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell on Tuesday May 9 from 4-6 PM, with her funeral service being celebrated at 5:30 PM. Cremation will be held privately.

Born in Livingston, Dena grew up in Verona and later lived in Montville. She had recently moved to South Carolina. Animals held a special place in Dena's heart, and she cherished time spent caring for her cats, and making sure the local wildlife was well fed. A kind person with a heart of gold, Dena would do anything for those that she loved. She will be greatly missed.

The daughter of the late Angelo and Jovina "Cookie" Simonelli, Dena was the loving mother of Angelina Franco and her husband Mike Pesci, Nicholas Cotterell and his wife Brooke, and CJ Cotterell; dear sister of Pasquale "Pat" Simonelli and his wife Leann, and Lisa Simonelli, and treasured aunt of Kyli, Tonian, Brittany, Angelo, Vincenzo, Brandon, Gregory and Anthony. She was predeceased by her sisters Gina Simonelli and Ann Marie Simonelli Rice.
