Diane Padovano

Diane Padovano (nee Nicastro), 63 of Springfield died on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston.

The funeral will be from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue Union, on Tuesday November 27th, 2012 at 8 am. The funeral mass is in St. James Church 45 South Springfield Ave. Springfield, N.J. at 9:15 am. Interment will follow in Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth. Visitation will be on Monday November 26th, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.

Born in Newark she lived in Union before moving to Springfield 30 years ago. She was the owner of Alfredo’s Italian Delicatessen in Scotch Plains, N.J. for the last 7 years.

Diane was married to her late husband Alfred for 30 years until he passed away in 2003., & she was the mother of Brian, Jeffrey, and Gina Marie Padovano. She was also daughter of the late Anna (nee Romeo) and Phillip Nicastro, as well as the sister of Steven Dale, Joseph Nicastro, Maryann Lorenc, Gloria Treihart, and Linda Nicastro.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to the American Cancer Society P.O.Box 7262 Hillsborough, N.J. 08844, or to the American Liver Foundation 39 Broadway New York, New York 10006 in her memory.
